Howdy HaikuWhosits! It's been a little while since our last post, but with summer rapid approaching this hemisphere, it's the perfect time to brush the dust off those poetry skills.

Therefore, today's challenge is a SummerKu. What are you looking forward to, or fearing, with the warm weather.

And go!
Greetings HaikuWhosist and Happy Thursday!
(I wish all my days looked as cool as this one)*

Thursday is the Christmas Eve of the week. We all know Friday is around the corner and the anticipation of unwrapping the weekend is often times more exciting than the actual payoff. That said, Thursday holds a special place in many of our hearts and in a few kidneys. Therefore, today's challenge is to offer up a haiku honoring one of the sexiest days of the week.

 Game on.

Happy Star Wars Day, everyone. And what better way to celebrate than with a Star Wars Haiku?

Challenge initiated.

May the 4th be with You!

'Nuff said.

(edit: how could I possibly forget to add an image? My bad!)
Happy Haikeusday*, everyone. As an added bonus, it's also the First of May, May Day, Workers Day, The Day We Wrap Ribbons Around a Huge Pole Day, Mayday! Mayday!, 4 Days 'Till Cinco Dey Mayo, etc.

**
Don't you miss the days when all life was in muted Technicolor pastels?

Therefore, today's challenge is a haiku for May.

Aaaaaad go!

Good Monday morning, everyone. For many of us, today represents the start of another long work week, so let's kick things off with a little haiku honoring that brown, highly caffeinated beverage that helps us get our engines going: coffee.

 *
Looks like a normal Monday to me...

To get us off on the right foot, a couple excellent "haikuffees" from fellow AW Cantinero, Amergina:

Stumble, coffee in hand
Meetings, they doth kill my soul
Is it five o'clock yet?

AND..!

Lo, the coffee man
Now caffeine exists again
I rise from the dead

Okay, now it's your turn. Haikuffee away!

Ah, Friday. Such a wonderful time of the week. And what better way to honor one of our favorite days than with a haiku?

So feel free to leave your Fridayku in the comments below and have a great weekend.
Over at the Absolute Write Cantina, my friend Bos inspired the idea of a social media site similar to Twitter, but made entirely of haikus. Sadly, none of us can write code, so this is the next best thing (for now). Ladies and gents, welcome to HaikuWho?, a place to just mess around with one another in 5-7-5 patterns.

I'll get some rules and other guidelines up and running in a little while, but lets get the ball rolling:

Twitter we all love
But Haikus are exciting
So hi and haiku.

Okay, now it's your turn.
